The SEC Schools' Telescope Competition 2008
The Space Education Council is delighted to announce a competition for secondary schools involving astronomy and astronautics.
Pupils are invited to submit a project on astronautics. The first prize is a computerised telescope for the winner's school, and a place for themselves at this summer's Space School
It's often stated that pupils are interested in dinosaurs and space-flight, but only one of these is around today! Not only that, but today's young people actually have the possibility of flying in space in the future.
We are asking for a project that covers some aspect of astronautics. It can be a straight-forward written entry, or a poster, a multi-media presentation (video, podcast, etc), a website ... the choice is pretty much yours!
Who can enter?
Any secondary school pupil in the UK aged between 13 and 18 on June 30, 2008.
When is the closing date for entries?
All entries (electronic and/or hard copy) must be received by midnight on June 13, 2008.
How do I enter?
