IYA'09
The International Year of Astronomy
2009 has been designated by the IAU and
endorsed by the United Nations as the International year of
Astronomy, marking the 400th anniversary of the
astronomical telescope.
There are 11 global cornerstone projects that will focus on
education and outreach activities.
